Walking Street is the jewel of Pattaya’s large and very varied nightlife scene. Indeed it is Pattaya’s biggest single attraction of any kind with thousands of tourists and expats flocking every night to check out the bars, gogo bars, nightclubs and restaurants. We estimate there are around 400 bars, 70 gogo bars and 20 nightclubs on and around the street.
Popular Walking Street bars
As always it is difficult to be subjective as people will always have their own favourites but the following are probably the most popular. Please also see our Soi 15 page as that small side-street is currently home to many of the busiest gogo bars in the city. The list below is in alphabetical order and cover those bars and clubs actually on Walking Street itself.
808 Club –
Bacarra Agogo bar – probably the busiest gogo bar in Pattaya. Predominantly Asian intellect mainly from Korea and Japan.
Club Insomnia – same owners is ibar which is underneath. It has been the most popular nightclub in the Walking Street area for several years although currently perhaps caught up by the all new Lucifer 2.0 Disko. Music is a mixture oh House and Thai with live performances by big name Thai bands and DJs a regular occurrence.
DClub Agogo – Dclub is located in an upstairs venue on the corner of Walking Street and the Soi Diamond arcade. Although not immediately visible from the street you really cannot miss the huge sign. If you are a fan of the more up market style gogo bars then this one is very worth a visit. Probably the best sound and lighting system of any gogo bar in Pattaya.
iBar – almost certainly the busiest bar in Pattaya. Located below Club Insomnia which is under the same ownership.
Miami Club – formerly Alcatraz it remodeled as an ‘open style” nightclub in July 2017. In its short time of opening it has become very popular although not yet giving ibar a run for its money. One feature to look out for are the giant fishbowl glasses cocktails – enough for four people at least.
Palace Agogo bar – after Bacarra Agogo probably the busiest gogo bar on Walking Street. Again mainly Japanese and Korean customers although everyone is very welcome. If you are looking for busy gogo bars with predominantly Western customers check out the Soi 15 page.
Sensations Agogo – probably the busiest of the gogo bars with Western clientele. However it has fallen back in 2017 and is now far less popular that many of the gogo bars in Soi 15. It is a large gogo and very well worth a visit.
Stones House – large live music venue close to the Beach Road entrance. House bands, DJs and guest bands. Clientele mainly Thai but always a busy bar.
Sweethearts Agogo – a long and narrow gogo bar, that plays ONLY rock music. It is usually busy although not packed out like some other agogo bars. It is however the best run, and the friendliest. If you like rock music we would highly recommend it.
V2o Ice bar (entrance on Soi 15) – cocktail bar with (currently) Pattaya’s only “ice room”. The cocktail bar is very nice in its own right and the Ice Room is well worth a visit even if just for one vodka shot. They provide warm jackets so you don’t need to worry about freezing.
