The Nervous Wreck Pattaya

The Nervous Wreck is a small friendly expat's bar located on Soi 13/1 (Soi Yamato) 2nd road. Head down towards the beach from 2nd road and you will find it on you left after about 30m.

 

It has been owned and run by Dave Cook for the last seven years and during that time he has built up a large number of expat regulars either resident in Pattaya or regular visitors who keep coming back for more.

 

It is ideal place to call in for a beer and a chat anytime day or night, and pick the brains of the regulars about life in Pattaya city. They are a mine of information.

 

It is also popular with those who take their 'tirak' out in the evening since although there are Ladies available, it is all very low key.

 

Prices for beer are reasonable with Beer Chang available at 50 baht, Singha at 60 baht and even Strongbow at 140 baht.

 

There is no food available at the bar, but you welcome to eat there from some excellent eateries, one or two doors away, bacon and egg sandwiches and tomatoe soup to name but a few, for those missing a little 'comfort' food from home.

 

Two of the most popular nights are Tuesday (darts) and Wednesday (quiz) but as I say the bar is small, so be sure to get there early.

 

For the literature lovers amongst you, Dave also provides a free lending libary at the rear of the bar, and you are welcome to borrow a book to while away the hours in the bar or on the beach.

 

The bar is open from 9:30 p.m until 1:00am and your are sure to get a warm welcome. Give it a try the next time you're in the PattayaLand, you won't be dissapointed.
