The Honey Pot Soi 2, 2nd Road Pattaya

The Honey Pot Pattaya is fast getting a reputation as one of funtown's real hotspots. It is located in Soi 2 just off Second Road about 40 metres down on the right hand side.

Opened in 2007 it has grown in popularity and now seriously rivals the more established bars and GoGos of Walking Street.

Is it a Bar or is it a GoGo? Debatable - its somewhere in between, a bar with dancers!

Its a long narrow bar running along the roadside. The girls generally dance in the window areas.

General reviews of the bar are favourable and the night we went we had a few great cocktails and the girls are certainly good looking.

However its not all good news

This shape makes it very awkward to move around sometimes. When its busy it is impossible and even half full its awkward.

Also the girls; whilst they are undoubtedly well above average in the looks department they have a reputation for being aloof and asking ridiculous prices. The night we were there no girls came to chat to us and when asked to do so seemed reluctant. When one did finally come over the first thing she uttered was "2000 baht". Anyone who knows the scene will be aware that is high for this kind of bar and location. Besides which the girls are not Walking Street GoGo standard but do seem to have a very overpriced opinion of themselves.

My personal opinion is that it's well worth a visit, indeed I would go so far as to say its a "must see" especially if you are in that part of town. However I won't be going back in a hurry as there are far better places around. I would imagine many people feel likewise as the atmosphere is lively but not overly friendly.
