Thai Rose Soi 6 Pattaya

The Thai Rose Bar is the first bar on the right (discounting Corner Bar) as you walk down from Second Road.

Although it is pretty much the same as all the other small bars in Soi 6 it is very popular for two main reasons:-

1. Its location - the first bar you walk past. Few can resist!

2. Unlike a lot of the competition it is VERY well run. Friendly and good looking girls, cheap beer, clean rooms, absolutely no hassle apart from the usual cat calling of the girls as potential customers walk past etc.

Unlike a lot of the bars in Soi 6, you will often see (regular) customers just sitting outside drinking and chatting with the girls. Both the owner (a Brit', from Newcaste I believe) and the girls seem more than happy with this arrangement. The Thai run bars in the Soi seem to want to discourage this but it obviously makes good business sense as the bar is always popular and usually busy. Makes sense doesn't it? Create a good welcoming atmosphere with no hassle for either drinks or short time visits and your customers will always come back again and again as clealry they do at the Thai Rose.

The variety of Soi 6 is such that its is difficult to pick a "favourite" but if I had to it would be this one - simply based on the fact that I spend far more time in Thai Rose than all the other bars in Soi 6 put together. Along with perhaps Bret Bar it is by far the most welcoming and laid back.

Best bar in Soi 6

Baldy

Always been the friendliest bar on Soi 6 and very popular due to its location at the top near 2nd Road.
