Club Blu Pattaya Soi LK Metro
club blu Pattaya opened for business in February 2007. It is located in Soi LK
Metro, at the corner of Soi Buakhao and Soi LK Metro opposite the Stereo Bar. I was in the Soi LK Metro area the
other night and had some time to kill. Given that Club Blu had recently opened I decided to call in for a quick
look.
There is a lot of glass and stainless steel giving it a clean, modern feel. There is plenty of seating available on
adjustable height stools. It is very similar in concept to the Honey Pot
in Soi 2, 2nd Road..
There are two levels. The lower lever is the main bar area. It has 3 large plasma TV screens and a male toilet.
The higher level is accessed via a rotating staircase which could be tricky if you are drunk. Fortunately I was
told that later in the night the rotation is turned off.
While I was inside there were 3 coyote dancers dancing along the glass wall facing Soi LK Metro outside.
On the higher level you’ll find more toilets, some pool tables, a few lounges for comfortable seating and a few
short-time rooms which as you can see from the picture look top notch.
Drink prices are a little on the steep side for the area but reasonable for a venue of this type. A bottle of
Heineken is 80 Baht. There are plenty of service girls so even though they were busy the service was reasonably
quick.
What I did notice is that there were not a lot of bar finable ladies in the Club Blu. However I am sure that this
will change over time as they get things together.
I would certainly recommend for people to go along and have a look. However don’t go along expecting to receive a
lot of attention from the ladies.
My main concern is simply the location. Soi Buakhao is regarded as the lower end of the market and few regular
visitors will pay 80 baht for a bottle of beer when the surrounding bars are 45 baht. Equally I can't see the
Walking Street crowd venturing out just to visit one bar.

Club Blu - Update 25th May 2008.
Seems like Club Blu is suffering more than most. Tonight's visit was to a virtually empty bar, both
of customers and girls. Another well intentioned venture gone wrong!?
I am not sure why; maybe location, drinks prices or even just overall feel but its doesn't look
good despite the promising start.
Bottom line is you can't put a high quality venue in a low quality zone. Soi LK Metro itself is a nice Soi and The RockHouse has shown you CAN run a great (and successful) bar
there but at the end of the day Soi Buakhao and its surroundings is low rent and the customers want
cheap beer not flashing lights.

Club Blu - Update 16th July 2008.
Went back last night and have to retract the above. The bar was busy, though no heaving. However it
was a lot busier than anything else in the surrounding area (Liquid Lounge had zero customer).
The bar was rocking nicely, the music seems a little less loud which was good but
the dancers were still impressive.

the dancers there are nice, good music and nice place
but they try to cheat on the bill. not only me, my friend too.
The day after i talked with some people from UK, they also had the same experience there..... so it was not an accident, seems to be normal business there.....
